Hello all,
This is my first post, trying to figure out the sequence for a double, triple,...ect for the layout. For a single wrap I go up on a axis and down on the b. What is the sequence for the a,b,c, and d axes.

Just to let you all know, I have brain damage from war, so readingg Clemons’s books only gos so far with my comprehension.

Simple question, it’s just not sinking in

I do not do cross wraps except the two when I first started wrapping just to try it out. Hence, I am not qualified to answer but there are many who do on this site and I am certain you will receive very qualified answers.
In the meantime, there a many Utube videos if you look under “How to make a thread cross wrap”. That is how I discovered the basics.

Use 0 and 180 to start the first pass....
Say you are using 1 inch spaces....
0 axis will be 1 inch, 3 inch, 5 inch and 7 inch....
180 axis will be 2 inch, 4 inch, 6 inch and 8 inch....
Make one pass up and down...... You will see an “X”....

Next spilt that “X” in half with passes at half distances in between..... With one pass....

That is the basic layout for a double diamond or chevron......

Whatever passes you do to one “X” you have to do immediately after on the other “X”…

You are really doing two identical wraps at the same time....

I agree with Tom. I think Andrew's explanation is ample enough info to perform a cross wrap. I haven't seen any replies from Erik so maybe he was satisfied with the answer?
