3M. Anybody that sells 3M tape is selling good tape.

Trung,
You really need to have two types of masking tape.

1. Conventional tan sticky masking tape.

2. Blue or painters tape that is a low tack tape.

But, in general if you can, use the blue low tack tape rather than the more sticky tan tape.

A more sticky tape means more adhesive and more potential to leaving some adhesive residue behind.

Take care

You can get it at auto paint stores. These would be stores that sell paint and supplies to body shops, usually there is one in every small town but you will have to find it. Home Depot and other big box stores do sell the 3M blue tape in the paint department and also the green Frog tape. These usually do not leave the adhesives on the surface you are using it on That is the problem with cheap or even old masking tape. When you put tape down you need to press it down evenly and firm, maybe go over it a few times to make sure edges are down.

Thanks Everyone

I do have some blue masking tape but Im looking for more sticky to make bushing for reel seat install. I do have regular masking tape that bought from home depot that is 3M but its not sticky at all. Maybe they are basic. I use to have some very sticky masking tape but ran out of them and forgot what type it was.

I hate to say it, but I've gone to anything BUT 3M for regular masking tape. For tan colored masking tape that sticks well I've been happy with "Intertape" or "Duck" brands.

Dan,
Copy your comment:

I have also gone to the "Duck" brand of tapes. In a word - they stick!
