I am going to build a 13' 4~8lb float rod (CTS Affinity Float blank) for spinning reel use, not centerpin.
I am looking for good gold colour single foot guides (either gold frame or ring). What options are available ? I checked Fuji did some in the past but seems they do not make gold colour for their newer K guides. ???? Furthermore, where could I find guide spacing and sizing for 13' blank if I go K guides? I checked Fuji and Angler resources which their spacing suggestions are up to 9' only. CTS did supply me their spacing suggestions (no sizing though) but I would like to cross check with Fuji's. Thanks. Re: Gold colour guide and float rod spacing chart?

If you want to use KR-like guides there are a couple of options. The SeaGuide XOHG, XOMG, and XOG guides have a two different gold frames listed as color options. You could check with Rod Builders Warehouse to see if they can get you these guides in either of the gold colors. Another option is the PacBay Minima match (M) and fly (F) guides. They come in a Minima3 version with a black frame and gold insert, or a Minima4 version in a TiBronze color, which is more like an old gold color. Use the Fuji KR GPS it will work for a 13’ rod. If you need more information just ask.

Blank length isn't relevant, when you get past the first few reduction guides and get to running guides, that are all the same size, you only have to worry about the distance between the guides, and having the correct amount to get the job done. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
