Mike, when you get your guides try different guide positions on your rod..just tape them on and test cast with different set ups ..it,s fun and you learn things..such things as that it doesn,t make a hole lot of difference in distance where the guides are taped..it makes a big difference in how the rod is stressed and even that is covered up some with using one or more guides than recommended..prove things to yourself..it,s not rocket science in the least..

Herb, you can use any combination of KL-H guides you want and it will be a KR Concept approach to the build. If you use any combination of KL guides it will be an NGC build. We discuss "groups" as a quick reference to what we (and Fuji) have determined works best for many of the rods we build here. That is not to say Fuji does not stray for specific layouts for very long, very short or very specific actions and powers that we seldom build here. Tape and Test.
