Casting blank for snook

I want to build a casting rod that can throw smaller jerk baits and crank baits for river snook. Lures weighing 1/4oz and 12lb braid. I’m thinking of probably using a bass rod blank since everything I see for inshore is already a little to heavy for such light lures or lacks a fast action. Also probably in the 7’ range. Any thoughts on blanks would be appreciated.
Thanks Re: Casting blank for snook

And if you want something a little faster, look at SB841.

I would think the SB841 would work great because it has a very light tip that will cast light lures, but a very stiff butt which comes into play quickly and would allow control of such powerful fish. I built one as a spin for bonefish on light jigs. I've used it for SMB and it works very well even on the big ones.
If you change your mind on pound test, it can take a much heavier line. Re: Casting blank for snook

I've been using the heck out of these with nary a complaint! Can't beat the price either.
