I'm a little confused on mudholes site with their selections.
I'm building a pretty light inshore rod. 10-20# I want...... 8 inch rear grip 2.5 inch foregrip EVA. Butt diameter is .52" and 17 inches up the blank it's .42" Re: Need help selecting an EVA fore and rear grip on Mudhole

If you are using eva, then I would go with a grip that has a 3/8" ID. You can bore out the middle if you wish. I normally will just put the glue material on the blank and twist/push the grip down until the desired spot. Re: Need help selecting an EVA fore and rear grip on Mudhole

STANDARD Black EVA with the palm swell handle (You'll LOVE the palm swell reel seat with the "Soft Touch" feel)
[www.mudhole.com] Winn Dry Standard, also comes with the "Palm Swell" reel seat ... [www.mudhole.com] Winn Dry "Colors" ... people LOVE the "Natural" and the "Black" and I have used these a LOT lately. they also work awesome with the Palm Swell reel seat .... [www.mudhole.com] you can buy any of these kits and add an 8" rear grip to your purchase or make a Grip set out of buying separate items. Chris - We offer firm EVA grips that are better suited to match up with spinning seats [www.mudhole.com] and we offer EVA grips that are better suited for casting seats [www.mudhole.com] Also, here are the matching fore grips [www.mudhole.com] As Ken Brown 2 mentioned, you can go with a 3/8's inner diameter and ream the inside of the butt grip or if 8" up the rod blank from the butt is still at .500, you could use the .500 bore of the butt grip. For the fore grip, that would be 3/8" for inner bore and ream to fit the blank diameter. Since this type EVA is a much firmer, higher grade material than standard EVA that is soft, it reams very well. Any other questions, just let us know and we will be glad to assist you. I can't find any straight rear grips with 3/8 ID in 8inch lengths. My intensions were to use the fuji rubber butt cap.
Is there a way to custom order something through mudhole? I see the one with a flared butt end to accept a butt cap. [www.mudhole.com] EDIT: I decided to go with the flared end and rubberized cork cap. Edited 4 time(s). Last edit at 11/14/2019 06:09PM by Chris Zarza.
