Hello new to rod building. I have a bunch of vintage blanks and trying to find out what line weight ,actions and so on. Fenwick was rude. Starting with these old blanks first. Look foreword to learning all I can. I live in Alaska and their is a high demand for custom rods. Thank yoi Re: Help with vintage fenwick blanks

The Fenwick that made those blanks isn't the Fenwick that exists today.
You'll be looking at what would now be considered some very old rod blanks and may or may not be much demand depending on what your local market is looking for. I have some old Fenwick catalogs from the 1970's and 1980's that might of help if you can provide the model numbers, but it might be a day or so before I can get back to you. .............. Thank you for reply. My dad found some info about one of the 12 models I got. It was a blank from 1966. He found action, power, and weight size. No line weight. I got all 12 model numbers and lengths. Re: Help with vintage fenwick blanks

As for blanks I can't help, but for kits; what kind of fishing do you do? There are kits for anything you like to do. Re: Help with vintage fenwick blanks

SP782F - 6'6", fast, light, 1/8 - 3/8 lures, 2-1/4 ounce Feralite ferrule.
SP844F - 7', fast, med. lt., 1/4 - 5/8 lures, 2-3/4 one, Feralirte ferrule. These are from the 1986 catalog. I'd have to dig a bit more to find the others. All good blanks, but probably not much market for them these days. ............ Re: Help with vintage fenwick blanks
