I've broken the tip section on my 9ft 8wt FT. Probably a long shot but would anyone have a damaged blank/spare tip section they'd be willing to part with? Ive contacted Dan and these blanks are not made anymore. I'd need to send my broken rod to the US from the UK to have an aftermarket tip section made. I'm not sure its gonna justify the postage cost both ways plus the cost of the section.
May be cheaper to build on a new blank and strip the components. Anything similar to the FT on the market? I want to use it as a distance competition rod for the 5wt MED line. Cheers Dan Re: Searching for a Dan Craft FT tip section

Many saltwater rods have high ERN and high AA.
DC FT 8wt has ERN = 10.63, so consider 8wt or 9wt. Lots of good choices here, including the deflection arcs: [www.yellowstoneangler.com] Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
