Im sure this topic is out there but I couldn't find it. How long does it take the u-40 perma gloss to dry? I did it outside, just trying to figure out when it would be safe to bring back in the house.

It dries very fast, especially if humid and warm. It dries so fast that the challenge is to get it on the whole area you want to cover quickly before the drying causes problems. I would touch it in an inconspicuous spot about 10 minutes after application.

Sweet..Michael, thanks. I knew it dried fast, just wanted to make sure it dried outside due to the horrible fumes. Ill check on it in a bit.

You can typically recoat in an hour, but it won't be completely "dry" for up to 3 days depending on the level of humidity in your area.

Thanks Tom. It seems fairly dry now, about 12 hours later. It is tacky is some spots but pretty dry otherwise.

Never re-coat over a tacky finish as the second coat will dry soft and tacky also.
