C'mon Phil you know i'm playing around with you , i think you're great and i apologize for coming across as not taking you seriously . I just believe that you already know the answers to a lot of the stuff you ask about and you toy with us for entertainment purposes , we all know you have immense knowledge on a huge range of topics it's cruel to toy with us mere mortals . Fuji's line demo is not about the motion of "sawing" the line. It's simply a way to build heat in mono to demonstrate how destructive heat is in the fish-fighting equation. Billy makes the point that SiC is used in sandpaper. Correct. In fact, ALL ring material started out as an abrasive, only through high-polish does it become suitable as a "guide" for fishing line. Other characteristics that enter the equation are heat dissipation and durability. Any ring is judged on those three primary features. SiC is the known best heat dissipater (my word;). The only thing to separate various SiC's after that is polish and Fuji's legendary diamond polishing technique is pretty much the standard.
POLISH > HEAT DISSIPATION > DURABILTY Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
