Jeff,
You should be able to look at the guide, and then simply compare pictures of the guide to commercially available guides. Remember, there are a huge number of fishing rods that are built off shore. Very often, these off shore built rods are constructed with components that are not available in the USA at any price. Find a close match to the guide, or if you want a 100% matched set, strip all of the guides off of the rod and replace them all. Another option is to buy a new SNC30DR86L2 rod, and use it as a parts rod. Foolish, I will admit, but it would give you a source for the guides. Best wishes. Re: Guide Manufacturerer

Match the ring size, number of legs, finish, and order the closest you can find, as Roger says, and after a few times fishing, it will blend in very well. Keep in mind, it's a downrigger rod, which isn't observed up close very often. Other options, exc for contacting Rapala, just don't make sense. Re: Guide Manufacturerer

Thanks all for your response. I have contacted Rapala and waiting to hear from them. No American made guide matches these. Muskyfsh Re: Guide Manufacturerer

Jess,
The other option that you have, since it is unlikely that you will get perfectly matching guides for this rod; strip the rest of the guides off of the rod, purchase a full set of new matching guides and rewrap and refinish the rod. I have actually done this - complete stripping of guides from a rod and replacing with a full set when a very discerning client wanted everything to match. Re: Guide Manufacturerer

Jeff,
If you absolutely need the perfect match for a guide, here is a link to aliexpress: [www.aliexpress.com] These folks are one of the main suppliers for virtually any item from the far east. An order might take a month or two, but it will come and the items are as advertised. Sometimes this is the only way to get a particular item that you wish to have. Good luck Re: Guide Manufacturerer

A qiuck google search of Rapala Sportsman Rod brings up some rods that state they have "titanium Nitride" guides
Hope this helps. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
