Looking for a blank to use an electric reel on. I would like the blank to be able to comfortably handle 5 lbs, but have a fairly light tip. I have a St Croix but it struggles with 3lbs, and I also have a Rainshadow 7' 60-130 that can handle up to 4lbs. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Re: Tilefish blank

Hello John.
You want a tough rod MudHole has a Seeker SS-3X5 7'0" 1 100-Unlimited F 12.0 1.08 21.17 Brown $244.00, that should do the jab as well as anything else (not sure how stiff the tip would be but using a 5lb weight is heavy). Tight Wraps & Tighter Lines. Bob, New Bern, NC. Re: Tilefish blank

I have 4 Tanacom Bulls on #4 bent butts and aftco swivel roller tips using the American Tackle AXGC56XXH. I commercial fish blue lines and Goldens in the Norfolk Canyon with these set ups and they are perfect for that type of fishing. Capt.
