I have a custom rod about 12 years old that I purchased and absolutely love it. It is a Shikara blank and I understand these blanks are no longer around. It is a med + fast action 1/4 - 3/8 oz. 12-17#.Anyone have an idea of a very close match would be?

I LOVED the Shikari blanks. Built a bunch of them. Thrasher Rods and their factory in Woodland, WA has purchased all the old Shikari blanks and tapers/mandrels. Happy to get you in touch with them as new old Shikari product is coming available now.

This sounds like a great idea, a little bird told me FS 804 would be a great place to start.
