KR Concept for 9' Surf Rod - what guides?

Looking to build a Rainshadow REVSU90M for my birthday. 9 foot, rated 1-4 oz, built spinning. Questions:

Heaviest line would be 20lb braid with 40lb leader - what size running guides?

Reduction train - I want to use Fuji CC guides.
Is the KL-H strong enough?
Would you start out 25 to 12, or 20 to 10?

Thx all

Rainshadow has a build sheet for all their blanks that you could look at and that would get you started with stripper guide size and spacing. You can adjust from there and modify.

My 9 foot surf rod uses a KL25H , 12H , 5.5 M to a KB size 5 choke and size 5 KT runners , my 8 foot surf rod uses a KL20H, KL10H and a 5.5 M to a KB 5 choke and KT 5 runners . I find the KL-H guides plenty strong enough UNLESS you know the rod will take a beating . I never have the leader enter the guides, i always keep it on the outside and use braid UP TO 20 pounds .

Rod length has nothing to do with the reduction train. If you can build a 7ft rod with a 3000 series reel casting 20# braid, you can build a 9-footer with the same set-up. Guide spacing won't even change.

Thats understood Jim , the OP mentioned that he had a 9 footer so since i had a 9 footer and an 8 footer i decided to give him the most recommended reduction train parings , one of my 11 foot surf rods use RV 25 's , an RV 16 and a 10 M as a reduction train and the other 11 footer uses the single foot KL25H , KL12H and a KB 5.5 for the reduction train and that also works exceptionally well .
