Blank suggestion

I'm sad to report that I broke my favorite rod, my Rainshadow Immortal IMMS68ML-TC. I was going to order the same blank, but I'm always into experimenting so I wanted to see what you guys have tried out. Looking for something in the less than 7' range. I throw mostly 1/16 to 1/4 oz jig heads with Down South Lures. This is for specs, reds, and the occasional flounder if I'm lucky. What have you guys used and loved?

I would highly recommend the American Tackle Matrix MA-SJ66/6-12 for that application. I throw the same basic weights for the same fish in the lower Chesapeake Bay and that blank is great for that fishing.

These two MHX Elite Pro rod blank models have provided excellent results and proven to pass the test for saltwater flats species. Here are links to both models - [www.mudhole.com] & [www.mudhole.com] -- Thank You

I really like my Point Blank PB691MLXF for speck fishing. Has a faster tip than the Immortal and a larger butt, and does have a different feel. It throws very light lures a long way and has plenty of power in the butt section for handling good size reds. Its lure range is greater than indicated and will throw a wide variety of lures effortlessly. Love feeling that tick when jig fishing. Besides throwing jigs I also use it for unweighted soft plastic jerk baits like the Z-man streakZ. It has an intrinsic power of 512 grams, so has plenty of power for light inshore fishing.
