hi David..i have done this kind of thing with ugly sticks mainly to get an even softer tip..it is simple enough to do but these rods are not ugly sticks..lol. Re: Ridges on Rod Blanks for North Fork Composits

Sanding cuts, removes graphite, fibers, there must be a reason they don't sand the blanks, they were prototyping rods built on that material long before it came to market, and they have the right equipment to do it right. Maybe, just maybe it's done for a reason that may void a warranty. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
