After 24 hrs both mix ratios were certainly hard enough to go out the door. Checked again this morning after 36 hr and really can’t tell any difference between the two. I think when I do another rod with Crystal Coat I will use the 3R:2H volume to volume ratio just because it worked,, volume to volume mixing is easier to do, and the 3:2 ratio is easy to halve when mixing a smaller batch. Because both component are colorless, I could see problems occurring by not be able to tell which is which based on color. So make sure you color code your containers and syringes. My overall summary of this product is: 1) it give a very smooth, level, and colorless finish, 2) has a long working time, but also a long cure time, and 3) is very tolerant of measuring inaccuracies. Science is good.
