Hi All,

We're pleased to announce the addition of four new high modulus rod blank models to our Carbon 4 series. As many of you know, our Carbon 4 blanks are the same as St. Croix's SCIV blanks, so you can bet they will perform at a high level. They are offered at our factory-direct pricing, so they are the best bang for your buck you can find. It's nice to buy right from the manufacturer!

C463MLXF - A favorite for walleye fishermen

C466MLF - Another popular walleye and light bass fishing blank

C466MF - A great all-around high-modulus build for when you want to keep it under 7 feet

C470MLF - A light, versatile blank

They can all be found here: [rodgeeks.com]

The st. croix 7-0 mlf has been my favorite finesse bass spinning rod blank for as long has I can remember. That should sell very well for you.

Hi .... I'm curious ........ in the two tone paint scheme, specifically the 30/70 option, I don't see an option for the butt to be a color, and the remainder of the blank to simply have a clear gloss finish over the natural graphite ...... is that something that can be done on special request? And if so........ what would be the additional charge, if any?

Any information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated

Oh, and this would be on an SCV610MXF blank.

Thanks ...

Hi David - yes, you can definitely get the 30 side done in a color and the 70 side done in clear gloss. If you select 30/70 for a rod you'll see the clear gloss is available in the dropdown as an option (and plain matte is also possible, it appears). I ordered two 30/70 splits recently like you've described, the short end in metallic green on one and metallic purple on the other, and it fades then into the glossy graphite. Looks pretty awesome for a split grip spinning setup, in my opinion.

I posted some pictures of the blanks I got on the "Designing and Building Fishing Rods" Facebook group - if you are in that group and search for my name you'll see that post (it's from March 25th).

Next time I may try doing a 30/70 with the top part in natural matte finish and see how that turns out.

ON the tip color what you are requesting is the LAST TWO options on the 70% dropdown, as mentioned.

Feeling a little duh-ish here. I had looked at drop down lists under options, but I didn't scroll down on the tip section. Yep .... there it is lol Thanks people. I appreciate it

And Anthony, the dark green metallic butt and clear gloss upper is the combination I am going to go with as well. I'm going to build a new drop shot rod. Now I just have to decide between the SCV610MXF, or the Eternity2 ETES610MXF.

Decisions, decisions

David, if you are looking for ultimate feel it goes to the Eternity IMO. The SCV’s are very nice I just prefer the way the Eternity feels in my hand.
