Ben,
Put your rod on a power wrapper and spin it at 75 rpm and you will have the finish on in a jig. You will find that by having the rod turning quickly that the finish application is much easier as well as much quicker. With the fast rotational speed of the rod, it is easy to get perfect edges on the wrap edges of epoxy. Also, with the power wrapper, it is easy to stop the rod completely for a quick fill of the guide tunnels when needed. Be safe Re: Thread finish bubbles on brush
