i have both rods - for the lighter jigs, i much prefer the x ray DS 721 blank and use it extensively for small jigs up to 3/16 oz. i use my sj702 for 1/4 oz jigs, and the x ray mb733 for everything else up to 3/8 oz. The 733 casts 1/4 oz jigs just fine, but ive found the sj702 casts a bit better with wind resistant baits due to it flexing a tiny bit more.

Did you make the sj 702 and mb 733 as casting or spinning rods?
