SSR 7660 / 7650 guide selection

New to this site , and needing a bit of advice.
I am building a pair of Custom Seeker SSR’s - a Marbled Teal 7650 , And a Black n Orange Marbled 7660 — custom painted by Seeker , tough to get , and don’t want to screw up.
I believe a guide selection of the Fuji HBSG SiC is perfect , but not sure on size. Using a Talica 12 , and Talica 16 — I think the guides should be 1 #20 , 2 #16 , 3 #12 , 3# 10. + tip .... but am considering the order of 1 #25 , 1 #20 , 2 #16 , 2 #12 , 3 #10 + tip suggestions greatly appreciated . Main struggle is size of #25 vs #20 as to height of reel / I’m away from work bench for 2 weeks , so access to reels& guides is impossible at the moment - I’m not a seasoned pro ????. TIA

Those are good choices, the 20 vs 25 strip guide is always a question on those 50-60# rods. I would say the 16 being wider will suit the 25mm better (7660), and a 12 would be fine with a 20mm (7650). Personally for that rod if you using HB guides and are planning to use 9, you can go with a direct reduction train. 25, 20, 16, 12, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, tip (or start with 20 if that is what you want). The added 16s and 12s wont benefit the rod, and the direct reduction train looks a lot cleaner.

Best of luck
Nick

Thank you Nick , I appreciate the time and advice. The Direct reduction is definitely cleaner in appearance , I will weigh that heavily . Again , thank you.
