factory rod blanks finish

Any of you guys know what type of finish the blank factories use after they sand the blanks? And for matte finish? Do any of them use piwder coating?

Most use automotive type paints , my guess is some type enamel . Not sure about the matte finishes though .

There have been and are lots of types used, from squeegee coated epoxy paints, to automotive type urethanes and enamels. Different companies use different paints/finishes. There isn't really one industry-wide standard for blank coating.
