Hello all. So I am about to build on a NFC ST 964-2 ,casting, and I was looking into the sanded filament wound carbon tubes from
Rock West Composites, and I have a general idea of how I want the rear butt to be,with an Alps MVT seat, but the foregrip has me puzzled. I know I could just use a 2.5 inch section of the tube and trim the ends out with eva or some sort of material but I really want a tapered foregrip like on the Black Widow handles from Edge. I'm just not advanced enough to figure out how to fabricate something along those lines and I have searched high and low to no avail. I really like the look of the sanded filament tubes. I figured it couldn't hurt to ask here,as I'm not sure whether Rock West could fabricate something like this seeing how I won't be ordering in bulk.I really want this rod to look classy, and the non tapered foregrips look clunky to me.Thank you . This site has taught me more than I could ever repay. Re: Carbon Tube Question

I guess my question is where can I find a tutorial on making foregrips like these,if at all possible,or where can I buy such a grip? Re: Carbon Tube Question

The Black Widow tubes of any shape are hand laid up from the same prepeg used in the rods. They tear off strips and hand spiral them on a mandrel. Re: Carbon Tube Question

I know how they make them but unfortunately they are not for sale and I can't make a handle like that . I may have to settle for something else. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
