Good to see the Microwave system offering more options , that Microwave system stripper for Fly Rods has been out for a while now i believe, it would be great to get some feedback on them .

Herb,
I don't see that as an option for a fly rod or bait casting situation - spinning yeah.
But I'm open to reasons why it may.

I never thought that concept would take off with the fly rod crowd even though that specific guide is purposely targeting the fly rod crowd , i brought it up in hoping to hear the reasons why they are not discussed more out of simple curiosity . I should make it known that i am NOT a fly fisherman and know nothing when compared to people like yourself . Thanks for chiming in Herb

Extensive testing and high speed filming from many different companies (American Tackle included) clearly shows large waves and line slap that continues through the guide train... the stripper guide in casting and fly situations works the same as spinning... gathers, controls and funnels the line straight for optimal performance.

Do you have any high speed filming of fly rods using Microwaves? Or any other proof that it improves fly rod performance?

Thank you Rick for the questions... here are a couple videos that show line flow taming... we have had many rods out for testing and we consistently hear how they help new casters cast better and do not hinder expert casters.

Don Nice video on the fly rod using the MW 12. You can visually see the line is tamed

Thanks for the information Don. Great response.
It would be nice to see the 18/8 compared to a straight 18 ring stripper but it certainly looks promising.
