Rod Geeks glass rods

Does anyone know if the Rod Geeks glass blanks are the same as the early SC1 blanks? I am trying to match an early SC1 blank with the specs of 10-17 1/4-3/4. I will call rod Geeks tomorrow but thought I would check here first.

Thanks
Tom

I don't think you will find any current models in the Rod Geeks lineup that will be close to how the older St. Croix SC 1 glass blanks were . The S glass used these days are not only lighter but more responsive as well but as you mentioned calling Rod Geeks would be the smart thing to do .

Good luck

The RGeeks S Glass is in no way like the previous rods. It combines fiberglass and graphite scrim to provide optimum performance at a lighter weight putting the lighter graphite in areas that it needs to be. . You can call Mark Crupi or Bob Penicka at the rod Geeks and talk direct

Thank you for the responses. I will probably just order a couple to try out.
Thanks again
