Pac Bay power rod wrapper help

I need some help
I’m desperately trying to finish a rod for a Christmas present and rapidly running out of tome.

I have a Pacific Bay power rod wrapper/dryer that I desperately need to use to complete this rod

When I went to use it tonight for the first time in many years I discovered I was missing a set screw holding the chuck shaft

Any chance someone knows the correct screw for this?

Thank you
Chris

Christopher,
If you are close to a hardware store, just put the chuck into your pocket, hop into your car, drive to the hardware store and try screws until you find the one that fits perfectly.

It is quite possible that the screw is a metric screw. So when checking screws, check the metric screws as well.

If it is SAE screw, it is likely a 6-32, 8-32, 10-24 or 10-32. But, I think that the screw is smaller than a #10. -- from my memory of the time that I had one of those chucks.

When you check the screw size at the hardware store, you also need to verify the pitch of the screw. i.e. fine or course in either sae or metric.

I assume that you are speaking of this chuck:

I assume that you are looking for the phillips head screw that has its head visible on the left side of the picture.

Good luck

Thank you for the suggestions
Ended up taking the wrapper into the local hardware store
It’s a M3.5 screw

Christopher,
I assume that you purchased several spare screws?

You don't want to be without your favorite screw.

Happy holiday.

No, only bought one as it's not a set screw, its a regular machine screw
It worked in a pinch, but I will order the correct screws for it now that I am not in a pinch
