X-Ray Blank NFC

So I am looking to build a rod for myself finally - seem like all I do is build for others especially this time of year.... Was looking at the NFC X-Ray blank, specifically in a spinning rod build to throw Neko Rigs - mainly in open water and scattered cover. My thoughts were the DS 721 or the SJ 732, but I don't have any experience with these blanks. The 732 seems like it may be more in line with the Neko Rig application, the Ultra Light scares me a bit with some of the big smallmouth in champlain. Also - they are listed at 250 but marked down to 87$??? How long are they doing this sale? Was going to order after the holidays clear out, but also dont wanna miss that kind of price cut to give them a try.

It's been on since around Thanksgiving, wouldn't imagine it will last past the holidays. These are very new blanks.

I have that same blank in the house right now that I am building as a BFS rod for a friend. IMO it will excel at what you are looking to do.

Jay, it is the 732. I think it will do what you want especially if you are fishing open water areas.
