Northfork ship times

There have been many post regarding lengthy ship times from Northfork. I ordered some blanks 3 weeks ago to the date and just received notice today they have been shipped. They advertise 2-3 weeks shipping.

Much better than the 6 weeks from my last order.

Just an FYI

Shipping times are all over the place , some say they get them really fast while others claim they wait months , if you got a message saying they shipped i would expect them quickly .

I'm still waiting on my blanks, ordered 2 delta blanks and it's been 3 weeks and haven't heard anything about being shipped yet.

They are not known for being fast, as I see it , if they said it has been shipped it will be just don't hold your breath , from the time it was shipped to the time it leaves there shop , can be a few day's

Last order I placed was told three to six weeks. After twelve weeks I cancelled the order, when they would not respond and give me updated shipping time frame. Then I had to file paypal dispute to get a refund after they dragged their feet on issuing the refund. They make great blanks but man they need to improve customer service. I am happy to wait. Just keep me in the loop and be responsive to any customer inquires.

In that situation now. Ordered three weeks ago to the date. Was told 2-3 weeks shipping when ordered. No response to emails or calls. Very frustrating. Probably won't order from them again if I don't hear back from them this week.

I love the blanks but the company needs a good service rep. If enough orders are cancelled they may get the message.

I just checked my e mail. My order shipped yesterday and shows in transit on the USPS tracking web site. 19 days. I was beginning to wonder if I was going to be one of the 3 - 6 month horror stories.

Got my 2 piece MB736 X ray blank in the mail today. Oh wait ........ you can't buy a 2 piece X ray from North Fork Composites. But you can get one from the United States Postal Service. And it comes with USPS' special custom packaging.

Man ...... anyone have experience filing a claim with USPS? Is this an "they take care of it in a timely manner" kind of thing? Or is it going to be a pain? Never had to do it before.

David,
No issue.
File the claim, take some pictures - close up of the damage, and they mail you the check for the amount of your insurance.

It makes no difference as to the actual value of the article. It is the value of the insurance policy. If the blank broke, the value of the blank is 0 and you are entitled to the full amount of whatever insurance you purchased when you shipped the package.

Good luck

I ordered from Northfork twice (2 blanks each time). Both times the tube was broken but the blanks were fine. I just hope that there is no unseen damage that shows up when I finally get them built up and fish next year.
