I bought my kids the same reel for the holidays a few years ago...it was a BOGO offer that was too good to pass up. Looking through their rooms the other day, I noticed they are still in their boxes. When I asked them about it, they both said they were waiting on me to build them rods for those reels. The question is, what would be good matches for their uses.
The reels in question are the Boca 60's. [www.amazon.com] Younger son does a lot of boat fishing...not much surf. So he wants a boat rod... Older son does a lot of surf fishing...so he's looking for a surf rod. What would be good matches, rod wise, for those reels? Not looking to spend a ton, but I don't want crap either...something in the middle. Thanks and have a great day! Dave Re: rod suggestions

Dave this would be a great time to get them involved in rod making get them a kit and help them make their first rods and learn about the craft a good time to have farther and son time something that is rare these days with busy life's , they will learn as well enjoy catching fish with something they built for them selves. Happy holidays to you and yours !! The best day to be alive is always tomorrow !! Think out side the box when all else fails !!! Wi. Re: rod suggestions
