I think you're be in the same boat with Mr. Weissman above with the ABU guides. Many companys have proprietary parts that are not available to the public except on finished rods. Often with reel seats threads won't accept other makers nuts. I have a hidden thread hood (salvaged) that I was going to send to you, but it won't screw on a Fuji seat or anything normal due to the threads.

I am a machinist you know... I can make anything work :)

I once had a customer that wanted a specific type reel seat that was not commercially available. He managed to contact the company and was referred to a sporting goods chain to ask for any broken rods that the chain had received credit for and which would otherwise have then been trashed. He was able to obtain 3 broken rods that had the seats he wanted. He brought them to me and I was able to get the seats off and use them on his new rods.

Wow.. Id say thats a really good idea.. Except there isnt a store i know of that sells rods of that stature.. Except fly shops.. The zillion series are upwards of 250+ (atleast with a quick search)

But i might give that some serious thought
