Any advice on what tip top to use with Pac Bay Minima running guides in Black/TiGold ? Seems they forgot to make something to match .

Look at the Fuji (SIC) BFAT series tips. I use them all the time. They don't match but they are a good tip.

Use one of the black TI minima tip tops. Although no gold, they look very nice and match very well.

Is the 06 the same as a regular 4 tip top ?

Roger , all I can find are the ones with the frame like a spinning rod guide . Thx.

Look at page 56 and 57 in the Pac Bay catalog:

I was referring to one of the guides found on these pages, depending on running guide size and color needs.

I've never seen a fly rod with a high brace bracket like those tip tops . Not sure I care for them .

Remember, guide sizes are measured on the inside of the FRAME opening.
So, you would need a size 06 ring in a ceramic ring top to match up with the ID of a size 05 Minima type guide.

Ron Schneider, interesting that your link shows the tiptops, but if I were to rely on the BatsonsEnterprises.com web site, I would never find them.

American Tackle makes a tip top that may work for you.

Thanks but those are for spinning & casting rods . I'll use something else altho I think it's crappy of them to offer the guides and no tops to match .

Did you check the pac bay catalog on the pages that I listed. They do have nice matching guides on those pages - unless I misunderstand the guides of which you speak.

Roger , I looked but didn't see anything I wanted to use . Those were for casting / spinning rods and had the frame . Schneider may have it but that website is really hard to understand . I need pics , I'm just a farm boy !

I did not realize that you were looking for fly rod tip tops.

Did you look on page 64 for the fly rod tip tops in the pac bay catalog - 2018 version?
