3F908-2 blank search

Searching for a St. Croix 3F908, 2-piece blank in charcoal grey/black (only a couple years old), was hoping to replace just a broken tip section without rebuilding the whole rod.

Many thanks!

Thanks Matthew, no luck with St. Croix. They offered their warranty program ($), but I would like to find a replacement instead if possible.

Mike,
While you are looking, why don't you splice the broken section and continue to use the rod while looking for a replacement?

Do it right, and you will still have a great rod.

Good luck

Thanks Roger, wish I could splice it, this one's far beyond help though.

Mike, what does far beyond help mean? Splintered a lot at the fracture? If yes, then an inner + and outer sleeve sometimes offers enough support for the pieces to make it work. Been there, done that. With little to no action or power change. So far so good.

Mike,
Just look around at rods that might happen to be in charity boxes or good will or salvation army.

You just need to find a section of blank that you can slip onto your current rod to finish out the rod. There are plenty of rod blank sections out there - new and used. Look until you find the one that you need and then use it to put on a full or partial tip section.

Good luck.

Thanks Mike and Roger - yes, this tip section is a mess now, beyond sleeves. I purchased another similar blank of the same length/weight that I will build up for my friend, keeps me busy. Thanks very much again, appreciated.
