Blank recommendation

In the near future I want to put together a ned rig rod. A spinning rod probably 6’6” to 6’9”, open to suggestions, probably looking at $100 or less for the blank.

Thank you!

Take a good long look at the American Tackle Bushido SP 68/4-8 for your Ned Rig rod blank, The price is right, and the action is about perfect for Ned Rig fishing. This blank is quickly becoming one of my favorite blanks to fish Ned Rigs with. It is rated for 1/32 oz to 3/8 oz, and is fast action, so feeling a tick is easy. I also really like it for throwing 3 inch Stick baits and Junior Fluke type baits. Fitted with a set of AT MicroWave Air guides and tip top make it a winner.

I just started experimenting with the Ned rig this year, so I don't have a lot of experience fishing it. With that said, I've been fishing it on the drop shot rod I built on a North Fork Composites IM DS6107 blank. I know delivery times from NFC are extended, but if you're not in a hurry to do the build, it is a blank I think you should give serious consideration to. It has a nice soft tip and a nice bend into the mid section of the blank to protect light line, and the sensitivity is certainly there. With the 50% off sale NFC has been running it puts the cost within your $100 price range.

50% off on NFC, that is a great deal. Will have a look.

Randy,
Thanks for the reply. Actually, WKA stands for World Karting Association with whom my son raced for many years. That Randy was the President but now that I think about it, his last name may have been Krugler. Thanks anyway.
