I am building a CRB panfish glass ice rod and can not find a guide spacing chart. The blank is 22". Any help is appreciated. Re: ice rod guides

Will you be using a spinning reel or a conventional reel, what size will it be, and what type and size of line will you be using? Re: ice rod guides

Todd,
Figure out where you want your reel and tape it in place. Then, tape a tip on the rod and run line from the reel to the tip. Then, simply place guides - likely 2 or maybe 3 guides to keep the rod blank loaded. If it is a spinning reel, I like to use a bit taller stripper guide so that I don't get a line jerk each time that you turn the spinning reel when retrieving line. Be safe Re: ice rod guides

Ice rod guides do not suffer much from line wear, but mine always suffered from being beat on to remove the ice which formed in them. [ I did not have a heated shanty.] I avoided guides with insert rings. Re: ice rod guides
