Has anyone done any cork burning on handles? Just wondering what it all entails, how difficult, what you need, if there is a finish you have to put on afterward. Also, if there is a company that does it for people? Any help is appreciated. Re: Cork Burning

I've done it twice - simple Greek letters alpha and omega. Was straight forward using the burning pen I used for decoys long ago. No finish required but might be a good idea depending on size and location of the burnt figures. Maybe Custom Fly Grips to the left? Re: Cork Burning

I picked up a cheep laser engraver on @#$%&. Plug it into the computer and burn your image on your handle. You can do letters too. Just make sure you have some spare handles around to test on. Re: Cork Burning

I just did my first one the other day, Its pretty straightforward. The problem I had was that the cork filler didn't really burn so I was left with some light spots in the design. Not sure if others had the same experience? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
