Hey guys, im building a ultralight, im going with a exposed blank reel seat with carbon fiber grips.. Ill be using cfx pre made carbon grips..

My brother had a rod with a exposed reel seat and i love it, its setup uplocking, the threads are directly onto the blank, with the rear attached to the cork, align the 2 seat parts, slip the rear up the threads so far, and it aligns itself and the threads grab.. It also has 2 nice metal trim pieces to hide the top of the reel seat and the forward end of the threads...

Im ordering through mudhole, and thier descriptions are not exactly helpful.. I thought i picked what his was, but upon further investigation, i was way off..

If it helps, he has a fenwick hmx..

why not call mudhole and ask them if they have what you looking for that would get you a long a lot faster
