I’ve got a Powell Endurance rod that needs a tip top replaced and I can’t get the dang thing off. What do they glue these things with? It can’t be this hard!
Please help! Re: Powell Endurance tip top???

might be epoxied on that will require a bit more to remove it take a nail and put in the vice and run a piece of cord between the frame and ring of the tip top and warm it gently pulling at the same time careful not to much heat or you will destroy the integrity of the blanks tip The best day to be alive is always tomorrow !! Think out side the box when all else fails !!! Wi. Re: Powell Endurance tip top???

Some tip tops that are put on using epoxy can be very difficult to remove even when heating. Do as Matthew suggests and heat while pulling. Hopefully, it will come off without any damage to the blank, but no guarantee. When replacing the new tip top use a hot melt adhesive, it precludes the problems you are now experiencing.
