Hi all - new here. I was wondering if anyone knows of an online store or person who might have the middle section for an older St Croix SCIV 3 piece 9wt (4FT909) with a green finish. I'd like to repair a rod that I built some 15 years ago. Thanks in advance. Re: Out of production blank pieces

Peter,
If you have all of the pieces of the blank, it is often not difficult to splice and repair the blank. Lots of good information available on such repairs. No, it will not be quite the same as an unspliced blank section, but it will still be a great rod able to do its job - if the original damage is semi reasonable. Best wishes Re: Out of production blank pieces

Thanks, Roger. That may be above my skill level, but something to explore for sure. Are there some resources you can point me towards to learn more? It's really just the very top male end of the middle piece that shattered, so I was hoping to just rebuild one whole section. Re: Out of production blank pieces

Have you got with St. Croix to see if they can replace it? I've had other companies still have warranty stock, or be able the build a replacement. Sage and G Loomis for instance. Re: Out of production blank pieces

They said it is discontinued, but since they gave me a newer 4pc blank to replace it, I didn't press on the old piece. I think that's an angle to pursue for sure. Thanks! Re: Out of production blank pieces

What is the length of that section (in inches) you need, and are there snake or ceramic guides of chrome or black finish? Dennis J. Danku (Sayreville,NJ) Re: Out of production blank pieces

I need to find the old specs if they are online somewhere. 4FT909 was the st croix code. 3pc 9wt with green finish. Re: Out of production blank pieces

Pete, I checked the rods I have and they are 2 piece blanks. I thought I had 3 piece rods but I was wrong, Sorry. Dennis J. Danku (Sayreville,NJ) Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
