Fishing river for walleye with jerk baits and swim baits with 1/4-1/2oz. Looking for some recommendations on your favorite blank to build 6-7'. Don't mind spending the $$ on a quality blank. I have a few entry level st croix rods ( but looking for upgrade).
Thanks, Mark

" I have a few entry level st croix rods "

Entry level rods ? St. Croix ? You must mean the Triumph series which i consider from from entry level . Entry level rods is what one buys at Walmart , some of my favorite rods are St. Croixs SC II models and i have a few far higher priced rods . No need to respond back i was just surprised by the comment .

Hope you find what you're looking for.

Thank you all for the suggestions. Yes, I was referring to the triumph rods. I couldn't think of the name when I was asking my question. Theyre some of my favorites at that price point. Entry level was a poor choice in describing.

Try this American Tackle blank, the Bushido DS69/8-15 It is an Extra Fast Blank that works very well for multiple applications in the Walleye fishing department. Mine will see action this fall *Lord Willing* on the Saginaw River when the fall run starts to heat up.
