I'm looking for crappie blanks for spider rigging. I can find a blank at a decent price. Fiberglass or graphite it doesn't matter to me. Can anybody help me. Dont really want to spend 50 dollars or more on a blank. Looking for so.ething in the 9 or 10 foot range.

Thanks

I have heard about the method, but have never used the method for crappie fishing.

Are you looking for blanks similar to these rods used in the associated link?

It appears that these rods are build on blanks that are essentially medium action or medium heavy action blanks with very light tips. Is this what you want for a blank?

Just trying to educate myself.

MHX used to have 2pc 9’ and 10’ crappie/panfish rod blanks, but they have been discontinued. You Could check with Mudhole to see if they stilll have some hanging around. If not, check with Utmost to see what price you can get on 2pc Rainshadow RX6 9’ 6 to 8wgt fly rod blank. They work well for crappie and you should be able to get them for somewhere around $50.

Another opinion might be to get some B’n’M rods and rework them. They are quite inexpensive and used by a lot of crappie fishermen down in my neck of woods. [www.bnmpoles.com]

Custon Fly Grips, to the left, looks like they have the Batson RX6 2 piece fly blanks you need at an excellent price.

I was just looking at IM6 Batson 2pc 9' blanks rated for 6 to 10 lbs mono. So I am pretty sure you can find them. They were where the fly blanks were but they weren't labeled as fly rod blanks as in WT just line 6-10#.
