Fenwick wrapping thread

I'm new to the forum and am looking for some help. I am having a friend restore a 60's model Fenwick fiberglass rod. To my knowledge all these rods were approximately the same "chocolate" brown color. Do any of you know what thread to use to get a match? Thanks in advance.

Gudebrod 5274, chestnut (aka Fenwick Brown). If you don’t have Gudebrod, most chestnut browns are a close match.
PS - Should mention that it was NCP thread, and NCP white was used for the trim wrap.

Thomas,
I am not familiar with that particular color, but if Norman says so, you can take it to the bank!!!

Norman & Roger,

Thank you guys for the info on the Fenwick wrapping thread. I have had two Fenwick rods for reconditioning longer than I care to admit! The rods are from a very good fishing buddy; for whom, I have built numerous rods. He hasn't asked about them, but I am sure he starting to wonder if he's ever going to see them again! Shame, Shame on me! I just ordered the Chestnut Brown & White Gudebod thread and now I don't have any excuses to not get them done!!
