PacBay 10'6" blank

Recently I was in a flyshop and I saw two custom built rods that said they were 10'6" six weights. One rod was plum colored the other green. I haven't been able to find this rod or blank on their website or in any catalog. Any ideas about what blanks these might be? Were the blanks custom made for the builder or are they discontinued models? Thanks for any help.

The 10' 6 weights are most likely the "Rainshadow" IF1006-OG. We some times have models available in Plum, as well as other colors. When I run special order colors, other than our stocking Matte Clear or Transparent Green, I will keep the over runs for some builders that are always looking for something a bit different.

Please excuse me, as the item would be IF1066-OG.

"Rainshadow"?????? More than likely these were PacBay blanks that were sold as "Special Order" blanks or possibly "Private Label" blanks. PacBay makes a number of blank models that are not listed in the catalog that we make available to Custom Rod Builders and Distributors. The 10'6" 6 weight was available from our catalog up until the most recent edition, but is still a very popular model with a number of our East Coast customers. Plum color has been available from our catalog and the green color is one of the most popular of the "Special Order" colors. I would have to say that if the Custom Rod Builder has designated them as PacBay blanks, (please see the title of this thread) then that's what they are. For a list of distributors that have these models available, please e-mail me at tom@fishpacbay.com.
