What are you using to wipe away epoxy?

I started out using denatured alcohol on paper towels, but those were a lint nightmare. Switched to Scott Shop Towels, and those are ok as long as I'm not working with Winn grips. Most of what I've been working with lately is Winn grips, so I'm looking for a better solution. Anyone have a more lint free product for wiping away excess epoxy?

I use medical alcohol prep wipes.
They are wet until you open the small package they come in.
Pretty lint free, or enough so not to cause me issues, and i get them in boxes of 500.
Small so need more than 1 but that's ok.
Also sort of stiff so i can cut a finer line with them when that is required.
I can also cut them in strips about 2 mm wide and use them to run through the guide rings in case epoxy got in there(it happens )
Nice as mini tack cloths too after sand paper shaping wood or cork..
Just not appropriate BEFORE applying epoxy, you may want a non solvent as your last step, like distilled water.

Coffee filters, lens wipes, and some, but not all, gun cleaning patches are lint free.

That's pretty brilliant. A box of 1000 is less than a box shop towels. You throw each one away so you don't end up accidentally putting epoxy onto areas near where you were wiping it off. Plus I have a ton of these left over from when I was piecing together first aid kids. Will definitely try this out!

Denatured alcohol, and Food lion brand coffee filters. They are the bomb!!
no lint ever
cheap
And if we run short in the kitchen, wife can run in and steal a couple (keeps me out of trouble)

Seth,

Something else: I use Kimtech Kimwipes delicate task wipers, green box. 280 per box, nice size, and lint free. They are very strong, too, even when wetted with alcohol.

I bought several cases on the big online @#$%& site, for a good price. I've been using these for years, after I saw them in use at one of the big rod manufacturers.

Take care,

Chris
