Make sure you use the right Madeira-Polyneon. I bought some rayon one time by mistake, big mistake. I'm sure you also need CP with it. I'm sure with its use with decorative wraps, it will shine just fine.

I bought a ton of it because of the broad range of color and low price. I hated it and gave it away, Very low stretch and didn't like the way it burnished. Had a heck of a time with finish with it too. Get a small amount and try some before you jump in with both feet. There's many who like it and that's just my expierence. Might be I'm old and set in my ways but using it was very different than rod wrapping thread. The few rods I did with it didn't fade at all and the colors were very bright

I would be more concerned with the metallic fading. The Madeira will be fine
but metallic does not like Sun, especially some Blues.
