You know what, That ain't so crazy. I would certainly gets some looks. I would be it will be the only one like it. What about the tip? Do you know where I could get a double tip with 180 degree placement of opposing guide rings? Not really a hardcore musky fisherman. Matter of fact I will spend more time tossing for big big this year. Just using lighter stuff, like 1oz spinnerbaits or 7' twitch baits.

Really, if it weren't for the tip, I might have tried it. Conventional when fishing the spinnerbaits and spiral when throwing jigs with creature type plastics.

Having fun is what it is about.

I like to fish with gear I made, I really have great pride when I am able to catch a big fish on my own stuff. So much of what is out there is cookie cutter stuff (crap). I like to look at a fishing technique and build to fit. This year I am going to finally build a set of trolling rods that I have wanted for years. I troll for Coho and steelhead on Lake Michigan and some walleye. I want something light and fast so, I am building a set using Hotshot blanks. They will be a blast with the coho and steelhead.

Keep smiling, I am having fun, THANKS.

See you on the water, Doug

Wrap two single foot guides on, 180 degrees opposite, to serve as tiptops. Only thing to watch for is looping the line around either unused tiptop, but this will really depend on your casting technique. You may or may not have a problem with it.
