Marbling on top guide wrap/glow in dark pigment

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has tried to marble the top guide wrap. I do a lot of fishing at night and want to give glow in the dark pigment and thread a try. I have never tried these threads or the pigment a try, I have also it seen anyone marble with it on guide wrap so I’m thinking of trying it out. Any suggestions? Tips? Dos and donts? Is the widely available glow powder pigment reliable? Thanks in advance.

Justin,
Just a quick note on the epoxy/glow pigment thought.

I have used a LOT of the glow pigment mixed into epoxy on jig heads. I would say that it will work, but, you will want to purchase the brightest glow powder you can (sorry it's been a few years and can't remember whom I bought it from). Also, make sure that you mix a lot of pigment into the epoxy, otherwise your "light" will be short lived and cumbersome. One thing you could trial is putting some of the super glow Component Systems (CS) vinyl lure paint on top of a trial guide that is already epoxied on. I just don't know if the epoxy will react with the vinyl paints, I know the vinyl paint can not be put over powder paints.

Anyways, just thought I would throw out some similar experiences I have had with other fishing items.

Good Luck

Justin
I fish a lot of tournaments at night and have used both glow in the dark threads and glow pigments. both work with descent results. but with short lived glowing

Have experienced much better results by using glow in the pigments over glow in the dark threads. The glow lasts much longer.

As the second Justin mentioned use a lot of a high quality pigment.
Have not done any marbling

Something you may want to try is ProWrap's GloWrap found here:

On the pigment side - the yellow CRB is pretty bright

I tape on a mini glow stick for anchor or shore fishing. If I'm casting in the boat, Have an extra reel spool loaded with florescent line, And flip on the Black LED Lights
