Luke,
PacBay has been around a long time, the guides used on G Loomis rods, pre-Shimano buy out were PacBay guides and many other components also. We're talking decades of happy Loomis customers. Those F style guides are good stuff.

Hello Luke.

Those are not Minama Guides, they are single foot fly guides, if you want see Minama Guides just input Minama Guides into the search block in the MudHole page.

Hello Luke.

Yes it is a Minama, but there are several types or models of Minama's the "F" or fly, the "T" or Casting, or the "TV", or Tall interchangeable between Spin & Casting guides.

MudHole carries most mfr & models of guides, use the search function and search around and see what you like.

Hello Luke.

The Pac Bay site has a "Guide Spacing Calculator" on it.

The "KR" system is a Fuji system, so no it won't, guide mfrs don't share much.

Since the line doesn't read the brand name on the guides, but reacts to the geometry of the system, you can use any brand of guide with the KR system instructions IF YOU CAN MATCH THE GEOMETRY, which is very unlikely. Fuji makes some very affordable KR guides, so why not just use them. Their catalog gives very easy to use instructions on layout depending on the line you intend to use. Catalog is accessible on the Anglers Resource tab in the left margin.

Are you planning on making a spinning rod? If so, Yes the Minima4s can be used in a KR concept spinning rod build and they give you a very light guide train that works extremely well. Use the Minima match (M) guides just like the Fuji KL H guides, and use the Minima fly (F) guides like the Fuji KB/KT guides as runners. The Minima M guides are high frame small ring guides, thus they very similar in height to same ringed size Fuji KLH guides. Because of this you can use the same grouping recommended by Fuji for your reduction train. For example, they group accordingly as (16M, 8M, and 5M). (20M, 10M, and 5Mor 6M) and (25M, 12M, and 6M) for your reduction train, depending on reel and line size. For the running guides you use F guides in the size you want, I normally use 4Fs as runners, but size 5 or 3 will also work. Use the KR GPS program at Anglers Resource to get a good starting point for guide placement. I like to use the Minima guides with UL to M power rods and use the Fuji KR guides for heavier powered rods (M to H). PacBay also makes M guides and F guides with ceramic rings, and they can be used the same way.

I've had both a set of titanium M style Minimas and the stainless version in my hands with a bit of string binding them through the guide rings and both on finished rods, either way it's very noticable. No way anyone wouldn't feel the difference. Even my cousin, Hammer Hands Phipps, felt the difference easily.
