I am looking for a 9 foot blank, 1 piece, XH power, fast action, rated for lures in the 10-12 ounce range. St. Croix does not have one in that rating in a 1 piece, their's is a 2 piece. Going to be used as a musky rod. Suggestions - prefer blank suggestion you have actually built on. thank you Buzz

way to hard to find I use these [rodgeeks.com] and never had a complaint form my customers
and you have to remember that the longer the rod the more advantage your giving the fish if you just got to have the extra 6 inches add it to the butt with a piece of old blank a wrap and epoxy in to the blank and coat the outside wrap

i know people who have no qualms about gluing 2 piecers together..easier to build also..but they weren,t musky rods.

Second Dennis D's suggestion. Surf blanks are built to handle lures and fish at least as big as muskies, and fish can't tell what kind of blank you are using.

I looked around and the only thing I found to meet your "9 foot blank, 1 piece, XH power, fast action, rated for lures in the 10-12 ounce range" was indeed a St. Croix SCII 2M90XHF LISTED in the 2018 MudHole Catalog on pg. 71, left column, last listing.

Yea I know, paper catalog, but it is the newest one and it is listed, good luck.

Tackle Industries makes a 9' 1 pc in XH and XXH. They are inexpensive and decent blank for the money. Thorne Bros Predator blanks are fantastic but I can't find them on the site anymore. You'd have to call.

The 8'6 Rodgeeks blanks are outstanding blanks and could easily be extended.

I've built several TI and several Rodgeeks blanks for myself and others. The 8'6" rodgeeks is preferred.
