Have to tried contacting Jim Ising,or anyone else at Anglers Resources? What specific properties are you inquiring about? Not that I would have the answers....

All I know is that Fazlite is a new type of hard aluminum oxide material that has hardness, thermal conductivity, and bending strength properties intermediate between Alconite and Concept O (also a type of aluminum oxide). It is sort of an upgraded version of the old Hardloy guides, and this upgrade allows them to be deep pressed into the new K guide frames. I bought a few to check them out and they seem to be very nice with a blue ring, and they also come in the new corrosion control K frames. A nice thing about them is that they are quite inexpensive without being ‘cheap’. I think they are sufficiently hard and strong enough to give years of hard use without any problems. They are certainly worth a try.

Agree with Norm. I'll also comment that the rings are thinner than the old Hardloy, so are a better looking guide. They are NOT glossy, so if you're looking for bright, they are not the answer. I just built a KLH spinner with them in the silver, and it's a fine looking guide train. I used the gray on a caster and thought they looked a little dull. But if you're trying to avoid flash, they can do fine.

I'm seeing people asking for titanium frames with Fazlite and Concept O rings on fishing boards these days which cracks me up since Fuji has taken the stance that Alconite is not high end enough to pair with titanium frames thus the discontinuation lol. They believe anybody that goes with titanium will most assuredly go with Sic or Torzite but they were very wrong in that regard .

The cancellation of Alconite and Titanium was a monumental mistake on Fuji's part and i know some will argue otherwise but no way i'm buying it. Doesn't matter what fishing forum you go to people are outraged over it and they have every right to be.

I'm disappointed, but not outraged. Not "outrage-worthy," IMO.

Norm has it right on FazLite. It specs better than Aluminum Oxide but just a whisker below ALCONITE in all the comparative categories. By engineering it for K-Series, Fuji is offering the most affordable "K's" to date.

As far as Titanium goes, I'll admit ALCONITE was my favorite combo as well. I also must admit that I have never known Fuji to discontinue a solid, high volume product.
