I am going to use the Microwave casting guides on a crankbait rod and the rod blank will be fiberglass so it will have the extra flex in it and I would like to do it with a spiral wrap. So the question is if make the rod with a spiral wrap will it screw up the way these Microwave guides are made to work do to second guide being wrapped on the side of the blank.

Not at all... they work better than traditional casting guides on a spiral wrap as the ring sits a tad higher off the blank. The work is done in the stripper guide.. you will love this set up
